Good morning, all.
After a brief delay to get new subscribers up to speed, here’s Chapter 4 of STEPPERS. A quick reminder, we will be launching a Kickstarter soon for a print edition of the book. Please go wish list it if you’re interested, so we can please the almighty algorithm and make sure the campaign goes smoothly:
STEPPERS
Chapter 4: The Lucky Rabbit
PREVIOUS //
Oswald, the Lucky Rabbit.
This Chapter introduces more major characters into our story, including Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. As a quick refresher, Oswald is another character in the public domain that predates Mickey. Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks were contractors working for Universal, creating cartoons such as Trolley Troubles and Poor Papa.
Notably to us, Mickey Mouse was actually created because Walt Disney did not own the rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Despite growing their animation studio significantly from their success with Oswald, they wanted to own the intellectual rights, kicking things off with “Steamboat Willie”.
We’re committed to getting the full Act 1 of our story out there, in the intended format. We’re targeting early June for the launch of our Kickstarter, raising funds for a print hardcover, collecting 170ish pages of story. We hope you’ll join us on this journey.
