What I love so much about making comics is the juxtaposition between panel and prose that compels the reader to fill in the blanks.

Brian K. Vaughan

has talked about this in his newsletter, specifically around the idea of the reader as the final collaborator. The reader must connect writing and art with their understanding of the medium to determine what a comic is saying.

We’re likely not making friends with any true fans of the iconic mouse, but some might call this faithful if you read between the panels. Let us know what you think in the comments!
